Today we have a veteran returning. It’s Ice Climbers! That’s right. Now that’s a surprise. These two characters will be returning for the third installment of Smash Bros.
They look amazing. I think they are one of the most detailed characters yet. I did not expect these two hammer-wielding Eskimos to make it up to the top of the character mountain. Today I’m going to let me off easy and let Sakurai tell you about them:
“The one in blue is Popo. The one in pink is Nana. And the two of them get along great! …I think. These two move as a pair, with Nana automatically following along. There’s safety in numbers—protect and be protected!”
Okay. But what does “And the two of them get along great! …I think” mean? Can one climber now hurt the other? And what could there final smash be? Will their moves stay the same? We’ll probably get an update on their special moves soon. This is Edac, signing off.
