Possible Brawl Boxart?
You may notice I haven’t updated for a while. Well, here is a guide to every update since August 29, 2007, starting with Red’s (Pokemon Trainer’s) special moves:
Or, 2 of each of his Pokemon’s:
Squirtle Up B: Waterfall. This move looks really cool. I mean, look at that amazing water!
Squirtle Side B: Withdraw. This move looks like Yoshi’s Egg Roll.
Ivysaur Up B: Bullet Seed. This move shoots seeds straight up in the air? Hopefully, this move is aimable.
Ivysaur Up B: Vine Whip. You had to expect this. A tether recovery.
Charizard B: Flamethrower. Come on, it is Charizard after all.
Charizard Side B: Rock Smash. An odd move. Charizard smashes a rock with his head.
Well, there are Red’s Special Moves. Hope you enjoyed them. Now onto a new game play mechanic. Gliding!
Gliding! Yes, characters with wings have a special ability. They can… Well, read on to find out.
First do a midair jump!
If you continue to hold down the jump button, you will start to glide. Tilt the Control Stick up or down to move up or down in the air.
“You can’t change direction, though, so be careful! If you stall out in midair or get attacked, your flight will get cancelled.”
Sounds a little unfair, but very cool.
Well, that’s it for gliding, now we’re on to the wierdest new stage yet, WarioWare.
That’s right, WarioWare. This stage is, well, just read on.
This stage changes between at least three different minigames. They are…
1. Stay Dry (image is above)
2. Dodge
3. Jump
Then, there is the most confusing part. The… Well, Sakurai says it better than me:
” Wh-what the heck is this? What is going on? What kind of joke is this? For each challenge you clear, there is, of course, a reward.”
The typical screen looks like this.
“Ah, what floor would you like, Smash?”
Well, I’ve covered three updates so far. About one weeks worth to go. Dare to read on?
Now onto a video update. This shows Pit being sent out by the goddess Palutena to save the stadium. This update relates to the Subspace Emissary. Watch the video for yourself here.
Now we move onto New Character #3’s Special Moves:
Diddy Kong B: Peanut Popgun. Seems to be like Link’s arrows, except if you charge this too long, your gun will explode. You can also eat that peanuts that sometimes pop out of a shell.
Diddy Kong Up B: Rocketbarrel Boost. This move looks weird. The barrels fly off and attack if you’re hit in mid-air.
There are Diddy Kong’s Special moves. Or two of them at least. Now we move on to a new character!
Meta Knight! Yes, Meta Knight has officially become a new character. Dojo!! says that his introduction was delayed for some reason. In my opinion, they could have unveiled him earlier. I mean, they already did his special moves. Oh well, at least now he’s official.
Now we move on to… A new Mario move? Let’s check this out!!!
Mario Down B: F.L.U.D.D. Wow! This is a surprise. I’ll have to bring out the quotes on this one:
“Tilt the Control Stick down and press the B Button to charge up…
Hose ‘em down! Blast those enemies away.
It does absolutely no damage—it’s just for sending opponents great distances. You can even charge it up while shielding. It’s best used in critical moments. Huh? What happened to the down special move he’s had up until now—the Mario Tornado?”
What? He still has this attack? I wonder how…
In my opinion, I think it’s Mario’s new Down A in the air.
Well, that was a surprise. now for the next and last update for this post.
Pokemon Stadium 2! Why they didn’t go with the fan name, Pokemon Coliseum, I don’t know. Anyways, this looks like a really cool stage.
You may remember the stage Pokemon Stadium from Melee. I liked it okay. This one seems a lot better. The stage now has 4 new changes:
1. Ice. Pretty self-explanatory. The floor gets very slippery.
2. Ground. A mountain of earth appears on the stage.
3. Flying. In this form, everyone’s jump abilities get boosted!
4. Electric. This stage is not pictured on Dojo!! One can only wonder why? Possibly because of a special new character? Only time will tell.
